LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Bernadette G. Goulet was celebrated by the Rev. Marc Caron Saturday, Nov. 8, at Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.
At the beginning of Mass, Bernadette’s sister, Marte Morin, and Bernadette’s niece, Maggie Pelletier, draped Bernadette’s casket with a white burial pall signifying Bernadette’s Baptism into a new spiritual life with God.
A reading was then proclaimed by Bernadette’s close friend, Jackie Fortin. “The Prayer of the Faithful” was recited by close friend, Joan Thistle. During the Offertory, the “Ava Maria” was played by violinist, Ryan Spooner, a family friend, and at the conclusion of Mass, Words of Remembrance were shared by Bernadette’s niece Maggie Pelletier, as well as Bernadette’s great nephew, Justin Pelletier.
Following a funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, the Rev. Caron recited committal prayers at the interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Roger Roy, Pierre Marcotte, Bernard of Lewis Morin, Georges LeBrun, Bill Wheeler and Jameson Glanville.
At the conclusion of committal prayers, all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home of Lewiston.
