CHESTERVILLE — The Franklin County Extension Association will hold a roast turkey supper and an evening of rollicking entertainment on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Chesterville Town Office.
The meal will begin at 6 p.m. It will be prepared, with all the fixings, by the Chesterville Historical Society. A vegetarian lasagna will also be available. Cost is $8 per person. Reservation and prepayment is required at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office, 138 Front St., Farmington, or by calling 778-4650.
Entertainers for the evening will be retired Game Warden John Ford Sr. and retired State Trooper Mark Nickerson, who will recount their experiences as Maine law enforcement officials. Their tales, all true, illustrate the serious, humorous and heartwarming situations that occur in our neighborhoods. As other humorists have said, “You can’t make this stuff up!” Both men are authors and will have copies of their books for sale.
Between the supper and the entertainment, FCEA will hold its Annual Meeting. During this meeting there will be a review of the past year’s activities in 4-H, in the Homemaker program, in agriculture, in non-timber forest products and in the Agrability program. FCEA is a Franklin County organization which works in conjunction with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension to bring research-based education to the County.
Everyone, especially residents of Franklin County, is invited to attend.
