GREENWOOD — Mt. Abram Ski Resort will host its 8th annual Oktoberfest party from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, lodge manager LeighAnna Cluff said Monday.
“We were looking for something fun to do around the time that Matt (Hancock) and Rob (Lally) bought the resort,” Cluff said. “It’s around this time that our season pass deadline ends. We also have a lot of people signing up for our ski class that we offer. There’s always a lot going on, and people seem to have a lot of fun.”
At 3 p.m. attendees can choose from barbecued pulled pork sandwiches or burgers.
Music by Jim Tasse will begin at 5 p.m.
Activities will include a bounce house for children, face painting, pumpkin decorating and a bonfire.
“The bounce house is something new that we’re trying this year, along with the dinner,” she said. “Usually, we just do hamburgers and hot dogs, but this year, we’re trying a barbecued pulled pork recipe, along with chips and coleslaw.
“We’ve done a lot of the other stuff before. Our pumpkin decorating has always been very popular with the kids, while adults really enjoy the bonfire,” she said.
