NAPLES — Lake Region erased a halftime deficit with four third-quarter touchdowns Friday night and earned its first Class C West football win of the season, 42-18, over Gray-New Gloucester.
Gray-NG (0-4) led 18-14 at the break before Donovan Eaton recovered a fumble in the end zone to put the Lakers (1-3) in front.
Jordan Williams and Kyle DeSouza both ran for their second touchdowns of the game, each from nine yards. Then, after an interception, Gunnar Harriman ran 37 yards for a score.
The Patriots scored three unanswered touchdowns to pull in front.
Quarterback Carson Hodsdon scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter.
In the second, Hodsdon threw a pair of 5-yard scores.
DeSouza ran for a 32-yard TD and Williams scored from a yard out to give the Lakers the early 14-0 lead.
Yarmouth 42, Mountain Valley 3
YARMOUTH — Kyle Farrar’s 33-yard field goal at the end of the first quarter was the bright spot for Mountain Valley in a 42-3 Class C West football loss to Yarmouth on Friday night.
Arthur Chee and Lucas Uhl each rushed for a first-quarter touchdown for the Clippers (3-1). John Thoma threw two touchdown passes to Cody Cook.
