PHILLIPS —
Freddy and Francine is comprised of Lee Ferris and Phillips-native Bianca Caruso. Ferris and Caruso met while performing in the musical “HaiR,” Michael Butler’s 40th anniversary revival. Recently, Ferris toured as Carl Perkins in Broadway’s “Million Dollar Quartet” and Caruso embarked on a solo career in New York City and Los Angeles.
Caruso said, “Freddy & Francine draws from influences like Ray La Montagne, Bonnie Raitt and The Rolling Stones with tinges of country, folk, and pop and underscored by a soulful delivery reminiscent of classic R&B.”
Hedy Stinchfield, Phillips’ librarian, said, “The Library Studio has been transformed into an intimate musical performance area reminiscent of the 1960’s Coffee House experience fusing performers and audiences.”
The Library Studio is in the Annex Building next to the Phillips Public Library on Main Street. Admission is $10 and seating is limited.
