Hello everyone,

Finally, some sunshine to brighten our days! Summer is officially here!

The River Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the River Valley EXPO! This two-day event will be held Friday, Sept. 19, as a “business to business” event and Saturday, Sept. 20, will be open to the public. This EXPO should have something for everyone, so you’re not going to want to miss it!

Invitations have been sent out to businesses throughout the River Valley. This EXPO is open to Chamber member and NON-member businesses. So if you didn’t get your invitation in the mail, please be sure to contact Cheryl at the Chamber office, 207-364-3241 and she will get a registration package in the mail to you. The Chamber does not want to overlook anyone, so please contact us for more information.

Also, we are looking for sponsorships for the River Valley EXPO. There are many different levels and ALL of them include at least one EXPO display booth and some sort of advertising for your business. If you don’t see a package that appeals to you and your business, please contact Cheryl or myself; we would be happy to discuss putting a sponsorship package together that suits your business.

There is so much going on in the River Valley this summer — I don’t want you to miss a thing! I urge you, be a part of your community. Jean Vanier, philosopher turned theologian, and humanitarian said, “Many people are good at talking about what they are doing, but in fact do little. Others do a lot but don’t talk about it; they are the ones who make a community live.”

Being involved does not mean you have to run for selectman or even join a board. Being involved is supporting the businesses, events and community that you live in. So I ask you, this summer, before you get in your car and head to Auburn, find out what is happening in the River Valley and become a part of it.

Sincerely,

River Valley Chamber of Commerce

Past President
