The struggling economy has taken its toll on multitudes of people. Take this as a request, a suggestion, or maybe just an idea.
For those people who have managed to keep their heads above water and out of debt during these troubling times, perhaps they could share a little of what they have with those who have far less.
May God bless those who give donations to area nonprofits and those who give through their churches. But what I am talking about is taking advantage of sales at the supermarket and having a little more on hand in the pantry to assist a family member, neighbor or a co-worker who might find themselves in need, but who might not necessarily qualify for any assistance programs.
Being neighborly is the neighborly thing to be.
