WINSLOW (AP) — Police say the death of a 3-month-old boy in his Winslow home does not appear suspicious.

Authorities said the boy was found by his parents Wednesday morning unresponsive in a portable crib.

They called 911 at about 8:30 a.m.

Emergency responders attempted resuscitation but were unsuccessful.

Steve McCausland, a spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety, told the Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/1nnmyDn ) an autopsy was performed but additional tests are needed to determine the cause of death. At this point it does not appear suspicious.

McCausland said state police investigate all deaths of children under the age of 3 years.
