On Tuesday, June 10, Democrats have the opportunity to vote for Emily Cain. Her charismatic personality, debating skills, dedication to work hard and understanding of the issues makes her the best qualified candidate for the Congress.
She supports increasing the minimum wage and investing in small businesses that will help the middle class. Protecting Medicare and Social Security is a priority for her. As a senior citizen, I support Cain, who believes in scrapping the cap to keep Social Security solvent.
She understands not getting equal pay for women is not fair and affects the amount a woman receives in Social Security. The average woman receives about $700 a month because of low wage jobs, taking time off as a caregiver for family members and child care, etc.
I am voting for Emily Cain for U.S. representative in Congress because she is able and willing to find solutions.
