OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Amber Demers hurled five innings of two-hit softball Thursday as Poland shut down Old Orchard Beach, 20-2, in a WMC matchup.

Demers had eight strikeouts and five walks en route to the win. Sarah Walton led the Knights (6-5) with a home run, a single and three RBIs. Demers helped her cause with two hits, highlighted by a double.

Mykala Geaumont and Lexis Labonte split time on the mound for Old Orchard Beach.
