NEW GLOUCESTER — Two candidates are vying for one open seat on the Board of Selectmen. They are Pamela Slye and Laura Sturgis.

A candidate forum, open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road. Beverly Cadigan will serve as moderator.

Residents are encouraged to send questions before noon Tuesday, May 27, to be asked by the moderator. They can be sent either by email to ngcabletv@gmail.com, or by USPS to NGTV, Town of New Gloucester, 385 Intervale Road, New Gloucester, ME 04260.

Also, the format will include a structured open session for questions from the audience. After the forum, the candidates will be available for half an hour to speak one on one with residents. This follow-up will not be televised.

The forum will be telecast live on local access cable Channel 3 and will be rebroadcast at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on June 6-8. Also, the program will be available online at www.newgloucester.com.
