RUMFORD — Brian and Kathy Gagnon of Rumford are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Jo Gagnon, to Joshua Lee Larsen, son of John Larsen, Yvette Umbro and Tony Umbro of Peru.

The future bride is a graduate of Mountain Valley High School, class of 2007, and is also a graduate of Husson University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is employed at Presidential Oaks as an occupational therapist in Concord, N.H.

The future bridegroom is a graduate of Dirigo High School, class of 2006, and is also a graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology. He is employed at Laars Heating Systems in Rochester, N.H., as a design engineer.

The couple is planning a Sept. 6 wedding in Peru.
