AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County has announced that one session of its annual doll tea set for Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, will allow for at-the-door sales of tickets. This is a rare opportunity for those who would like to attend but have not made reservations.
At-the-door tickets for the Around the World Tea will be available only for the Saturday, April 26, session that runs from 2:30 to 4 p.m. No additional tickets are available for the other four time slots.
Seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Those interested in attending should plan to arrive at the Foss Mansion, 19 Elm St., between 2 and 2:30.
Tickets are $10 per person for all ages. Payment must be cash or check.
The event for girls and their dolls and accompanying adults will feature tea time and storytelling. The historic mansion will be decorated with dolls designating countries around the world as well as flags and international items.
Raffles and a doll boutique offering clothing, accessories and furniture for 18-inch dolls will be available.
The tea is a fundraiser to enable the members of WLU to maintain the Foss Mansion as a museum and historical community resource.
