RUMFORD — Selectmen are expected to hear updates at Thursday night’s meeting on Public Works Road projects and an economic development project.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in Rumford Falls Auditorium.
Among additional new business agenda items are requests:
* For funding fireworks.
* From the Mountain Valley Lyme Disease Awareness Coalition.
* From the town clerk to approve ballot clerks for 2014-16.
* From the Fraternal Order of Eagles to close Oxford Avenue for a Bike Rodeo.
Approvals are also sought for a parade permit for Rite-Aid Pharmacy employees to hold a 5K race to benefit the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, a hawker’s and peddler’s license for Michael Philbrick doing business as Danmark Food Concessions and for Peak A Week to park in the Information Center parking lot after hours.
There will be a public hearing for Sons of Italy, which is seeking approval of a liquor license and special amusement permit.
The board also will discuss changing the date of its second ordinance hearing.
Under old business, there will be further discussion on the Tax-Acquired Property List as of April 1.
