RIVER VALLEY — The annual Easter egg hunt, hosted by the River Valley Chamber and the Mexico Fire Department, will take place on Saturday, April 19, throughout the towns of Byron, Canton, Carthage, Dixfield, Hanover, Mexico, Peru, Roxbury and Rumford.
Children ages 7-12 may participate. Clues for the hidden eggs will be read through local radio station WOXO 100.7FM starting at 6 a.m. and concluding at 9 a.m. When an egg is found, the finder will have until noon to bring it to the Mexico Fire Department and receive an Easter basket.
Children 6 years of age and younger will have their Easter egg hunt at the Mexico Fire Station starting at 9 a.m.
One egg per child so that others may participate.
To sponsor an egg for $10, call the Chamber office at 364-3241, drop off sponsorship of $10 per egg in the Chamber mailbox at the Information Center at 10 Bridge St. in Rumford, or mail it to River Valley Chamber Easter Egg Hunt, 10 Bridge St., Rumford, ME 04276.
