Toddlers at the YWCA in Lewiston recently completed a six-week session of Little Sparks Karate and were promoted to the next belt level. The Little Sparks program was developed and is taught by Donna Harris of Phoenix Academy of Martial Arts in Auburn. The students demonstrated the ability to follow directions, and take turns as well as basic skills in balance, tumbling and stranger self defense. The program is for children ages 2 to 4.
