WOODSTOCK — The Mahoosuc Land Trust will host its third presentation in its Changing Nature series at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center in Bryant Pond.
Ryder Scott, program director at the camp, will present “Changing Nature of Education for a Sustainable World,” said Jolan Ippolito, trust member.
“Our world is changing more rapidly and dramatically than ever before,” Scott said. “If we are to lay the groundwork for a sustainable society in the future, we must begin nurturing the next generation’s capacity for innovation, vision and creativity.”
According to a press release by the Mahoosuc Land Trust, Scott will “share his ideas for the education field, as well as success stories from the University of Maine 4-H Center’s innovative programs with local schools.”
Scott graduated from the College of the Atlantic and earned a master’s degree in environmental education from Prescott College. Following a stint working for Outward Bound and the Chewonki Foundation, he became the camp’s program director.
The next presentation in the Changing Nature series is April 30 with George Jacobson, a Maine state climatologist.
