Summer Basketball League
YES! is a dynamic program emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship. Each year more than 350 student athletes travel from over 100 towns and seven counties to participate in the YES! Summer Basketball League.
The program takes place in the summer from mid-June to mid-August. Each Saturday, teams will play and compete on the basketball court in an hour-long basketball game.
The program is open to boys and girls who are currently in 2nd – 8th grades. Coaches will have one scheduled practice, typically an hour, one day each week.
To sign up for the summer league, visit the website at http://www.yestoyouth.org/yes-summer-basketball-league.
A skills assessment will be held at USM and a schedule will be released and posted on the website by May 1 to determine when you age group will be assessed. Teams will be made after skills assessments have been completed. Requests for teammates or coaches will not be accepted in order to maintain equitable teams. Sign up early to avoid long lines on the day of the skills assessment! If you have any problems with the sign up online, please contact Cindy Russell at crussell@yestoyouth.org or 233-5117.
Skills assessment will held: June 7. First Game: Week of June 14. Fee: Sliding scale fee, $125 to $280
