PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — A Maine man has been accused of stealing $400 worth of lottery tickets in Portsmouth, N.H., which has been investigating a pattern of lottery ticket thefts in the area.

Thirty-four-year-old Nathaniel Glavin of Saco has been charged with the Dec. 27 of the tickets from the Big Apple Store. Police say the tickets were subsequently redeemed for cash at a local Market Basket store.

Glavin was being arraigned on Thursday.

Police say other Seacoast towns have open investigations into the theft of lottery tickets, as well, and have released surveillance photos to the public.
