GRAY — Another winter storm is forecasted to move into Maine during the second half of the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
If the storm remains on track, a significant amount of snowfall can be expected, forecaster Chris Kindle at the weather service’s Gray office said.
The storm is forecasted to move into southern parts of the state late Sunday afternoon and last into Monday morning.
Kindle said if the storm remains on track, it has the potential to dump several inches throughout the state, with coastal areas getting hit the hardest.
A pattern of low pressure is expected to move northeast off the coast of Cape Cod, which Kindle said is a favorable spot for heavy snow to fall throughout the state.
Reports of this storm come in the wake of Sunday’s ice storm and Thursday’s storm while thousands of Mainers remain without electricity.
The city of Lewiston has declared a parking ban starting 5 p.m. Sunday through 8 a.m. Monday.
