MEXICO — After an eight-year engagement, Dale Lavorgna and Catherine Johnson surprised more than 40 family and friends during an annual summer luau with the announcement “Thank you for coming to our wedding.”

Joe Sirois, notary public, officiated at the service. Children of the couple are Courtney and Cowen Johnson and Jamie Lavorgna.
