FARMINGTON (AP) — University of Maine System trustees are meeting to discuss a range of topics from boosting recruitment of international students to creation of a new doctoral program at the University of Maine.
Trustees are gathering Monday at the University of Maine at Farmington. They’ll be voting on a proposal for a doctoral program in communications at the University of Maine and several facilities-related items.
They’ll also be discussing and voting on a resolution supporting a program aimed at boosting enrollment of international students.
UMS Chancellor James Page has said increasing the number of international students in the system will improve diversity and create a new source of tuition revenue.
