AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will host an afternoon of Bunco at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the historic Horatio and Ella Foss House, 19 Elm St.

The game is open to the public. Members are encouraged to bring guests. Admission is a $5 donation at the door.

If you’ve never played Bunco before, the afternoon begins with instruction and practice before the real playing begins, and it’s all fun.

Light snacks and prizes will be provided.

A book sale will also take place, with great books for $1 each. All donations help WLU maintain the historic Foss house as well as give scholarships to local students.

This month nonperishable goods are being collected for the Good Shepherd Food-Bank.

Organized in 1892, the Woman’s Literary Union is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to further the intellectual, cultural and educational advancement of its members and the community, and preserve the nationally registered Horatio Foss Mansion.
