SABATTUS — Police are investigating a 5 a.m. car crash on Middle Road that left a Sabattus woman dead Thursday morning.

Police Chief Anthony Ward said in a statement that Tracy Richard, 38, was killed after a 2002 Chevrolet SUV driven by Felicia Hinkley of Sabattus crossed the centerline and hit Richard’s 2003 Oldsmobile sedan traveling north.

Both women were alone in their vehicles. Richard died at the scene. Hinkley was taken to Central Maine Medical Center for minor injuries.
