March against biotech foods
PORTLAND — On National Food Day, Saturday, Oct. 12, a peaceful march against biotech GMO foods will be held at 2 p.m. in Market Square.
There will be a GMO-free picnic before the rally.

Evening Star lodge breakfast
BUCKFIELD — A breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Evening Star Masonic Lodge, 7 High St.
There is no charge; donations accepted.
Visitors can tour the building and ask questions.
Registry of Deeds for research
HEBRON — Larry Glatz will speak on genealogical research from the Registry of Deeds on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
This will follow a short Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. at the Hebron Town office. Public is invited.
SeniorsPlus at Norway Town Hall
NORWAY — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at the Norway Town Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions or concerns.
