FALMOUTH — Find answers to food safety questions by attending one of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Food Safety Trainings for Volunteer Quantity Cooks called “Cooking for Crowds,” at UMaine Regional Learning Center, 75 Clearwater Drive, Suite 104.
Sessions will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21; Tuesday, Nov. 5; and Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Volunteers learn up-to-date methods for safely preparing, handling and serving food for large groups such as churches, club affiliation fundraisers, PTA, Granges and others. This workshop meets the Good Shepherd Food-Bank Food Safety training requirements.
The cost is $15. Scholarship may be available.
