Area youths captured honors at the NFL Punt, Pass & Kicks competition. More than 30 participants took part in the event, which was hosted by the Rumford Parks Department and Rumford Lodge of Elks #862 on Sunday, Sept.15.

These youngsters earned First-place honors in their respective age groups, hometown and score:

Girls: Age 6-7: Reagan Farnum, Bryant Pond, 21’7”; Age 8-9: Sam McLaughlin, Rumford, 99’8”; Age 10-11: Audra Bean, Milton TWP, 121’5”; Age 12-13: Hailey Farnum, Bryant Pond, 210’0”; Age 14-15: Emily Laubauskas, Mexico, 208’7”; Boys: Age 6-7: Owen Sevigny, Mexico, 127’10”; Age 8-9: Dakota Tompkins, Carthage, 124’10”; Age 10-11: Cooper Davis, Rumford, 176’0”; Age 12-13: William Bean, Milton TWP, 212” 10”; Age 14-15: Curtis Gauvin, Rumford, 273’2”

* Cumulative total of one punt, one pass, and one kick.

These 10 winners move on to a sectional competition, to be held on Oct. 13 in Rumford. They could qualify for the team championships competition at Gillette Stadium in conjuction

with the Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots game.

The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick football competition allows youngsters to showcase their falents in punting, passing and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy.

A number of NFL players have competed in NFL Punt, Pass & Kick, including top former and current NFL quarterbacks such as Dan Marino and Drew Bledsoe. The National NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition is administered by USA Football.
