‘Famous’ chicken pie supper set

HARRISON — The ‘famous’ chicken pie supper will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, at Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church.

Seatings are at 5 and 6 p.m., with a third seating to follow as needed.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under the age of 12.

Handicap accessible, air conditioned.

Supper includes chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, rolls, homemade dessert and beverages.

Sumner Scholarship Fundraiser

SUMNER — A Sumner Scholarship fundraiser meal will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at West Sumner Universalist Church Vestry.

Menu will be roast pork with beans, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage. Cost for adults is $7, children under 10 years old, $5.

Cash Mob is Sept. 26

NORWAY — The next Cash Mob will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. Participants will meet at the Norway Municipal Parking Lot behind Fare Share. Each person should bring $20.

A Cash Mob is a flash mob with a buy-local, community-oriented twist.

The business to be mobbed is not announced in advance. Participants are asked to bring $20, and each cash mob begins with participants holding up their $20 bills together. Then the business to be mobbed is announced and the participants walk to the business and spend their money.

An After-Mob Party includes prizes donated by local businesses and refreshments provided by the After-Mob Party sponsor. Everyone who attends will also receive a fee Cash Mob reusable shopping tote filled with goodies.
