Elders not only have to be aware of family members and caregivers who steal from them, it seems now the government is trying to make it more difficult for them to live comfortably in their retirement.

Our esteemed Congress has given itself a raise (almost $5,000) and will probably vote itself in a raise every year. But it has chosen not to give those elders who try to survive on their paltry Social Security checks the measly $5 to $10 a month raise that they have come to rely on.

It’s a disgrace and we all need to contact our representatives and let them know that this is an outrage.

Now, when the Obama health care bill becomes law, how soon can we elders expect to receive our end-of-life folder?
