I was shocked and horrified that a retail store would even be considered by the Paris Planning Board to locate in the oasis of beauty between Maurice Restaurant and McLaughlin Garden.
Rather, the beautiful and historic 19th century house, barn and trees are a local treasure that need to be preserved.
Every concerned Paris resident should attend the Aug. 27 public hearing at the Paris Fire Station. Voices other than commercial retail interests must be heard.
