A truck from Longchamps & Sons Inc. of Lisbon dumps a load of sand as a crew from Reed & Reed Inc. of Woolwich works on the support structures for the new Turner Center Bridge on Friday morning. They are surrounded by a sheet pile cofferdam on the Turner side of the new bridge, which will cross the Androscoggin River. The old bridge was built in 1937. The new one will cost $7.4 million and is scheduled to be completed by early fall 2014.
