OTISFIELD — East Otisfield Free Baptist Church announces that it will host a weekend Vacation Bible Camp Adventure at the church, 231 Rayville Road, off Route 121, beginning Friday, Aug. 16.
The church invites all community youth, age preschool through middle school (age 14) to attend. This is a faith-based program, ecumenical in nature. All are welcome.
The theme this year is “Hay Day: Growing in Friendship with Jesus” and includes a backyard farm theme for the weekend. Leaders include the Rev. Genise Stern, Amanda and Dottie Dyer and Seth Skolfield.
The activities will provide an opportunity to learn about team-building, outreach to neighbors, near and far, and ways to help faith flow into real life.
The schedule is as follows: Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., registration, photo booth, pizza party.
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., free nutritious lunch, beverages and snacks included. The activities will include fun moo-sic and dance, hog wild games, Bible Adventures, Projects with a Purpose and building a friendship with Farmer Sam.
Sunday: sharing experiences with family and friends during the regular worship service at 10 a.m., followed by a family Barn Yard Barbecue.
