DEAR SUN SPOTS: This letter is for all Korean War veterans who might be interested in getting a special certificate thanking them for their service. If so, they should attend the 60th anniversary ceremony of the Korean War at Veterans Park in Lewiston.
The event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday July 27, with a ceremony at 10 a.m.
All Korean veterans will be receiving this special certificate. The public is also invited.
Parking will be across the street in the parking garage or lot (free on Saturdays). Security will only let vehicles for guest speakers, those who have a booth and a few spaces for disabled veterans license plates park at the Veterans Park parking lot.
Bring your own chairs. Water will be provided by the Salvation Army; portable restrooms will be available.
If it rains, the event will be held at the Armory on Central Avenue in Lewiston.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Monday, July 15, I spent a beautiful day at Brettun’s Pond off Route 4 in Livermore. Unfortunately, the next day I realized that I had left my backpack behind, and by the time I returned it was gone.
Although it didn’t contain anything that would be considered valuable to anyone else, I would love to get it back if someone happened to pick it up. There was no identification inside, but it is a white backpack with colorful flowers and brown trim.
It contained a beach blanket, sunscreen, etc. inside. If someone found this, I would be very grateful for its return. Please contact me. I would be more than willing to pick it up. — Kimberly Money, Dixfield, 562-8685, ksmoney83@gmail.com
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I know you put this in the paper before, but I was hoping you could do it again, please. I would like to know some names of those who make clothes. Thank you very much. — No Name, Auburn
