Pre-K registration

LIVERMORE — RSU73 is committed to serving all 4-year-olds in the towns of Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls area.

If your child will be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15 and you want to register him/her in pre-K, pick up a registration form from Livermore Elementary, 107 Gibbs Mill Road, Livermore; or RSU 73 Central Office, 9 Cedar St., Livermore Falls.

Provide your child’s birth certificate and a current immunization record at time of registration as they are both requirements of the registration process. For more information email Wendy Moreau at wmoreau@rsu73.org.

Descendants of Moses Adams

WILTON — The annual reunion for the descendants of Moses and Martha Kinney Adams will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Reunion Barn at Kineowatha Park.

Logging film to be shown

STRATTON — The Dead River Area Historical Society will feature an old time logging film, “In the Blood,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the Stratton Community Building.

“In The Blood” illustrates and celebrates the individual men who made the Maine lumber camp successful — their character, ethics and history — with stunning photography, films, interviews and a compelling soundtrack.

In an effort to expand membership the Dead River Area Historical Society is inviting the public to join us in viewing this film free of charge.

The Dead River Area Historical Society is open every weekend throughout July and August from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Displays include a collection of old carpentry and logging tools, china, glass, church organ, furniture from native families, a complete schoolroom, a memorial room to the “lost” towns of Flagstaff and Dead River, the lineage of several native families, and a host of memorabilia from native homesteads.

Grange holding ‘souper’ supper

CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will hold a public “souper” supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 26.

Lobster roll lunches pre-order

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Lobster Roll Lunches are available again this year through pre-order only for Friday, July 26, in Farmington.

During the Wilton Blueberry Festival on Friday, Aug. 2, lunches are available by pre-order or stopping by St. Luke’s, at 59 High St. at the corner of School and High streets in Wilton.

Lunches include fresh clearmeat lobster with chips, homemade brownie and beverage all for a $10 donation. Call St. Luke’s to order or for more information at 645-2639.
