OXFORD — Corinne Smith passed away at home on July 10, with her loving family by her side, following a battle with cancer.
She was born in Lewiston, daughter of Roscoe L. Smith and Alice Mason Smith. She was educated in West Gardiner schools. On Oct. 31, 1959, she married Gale Smith and together they raised four children, Kenneth, Kathy, Rick and Rhonda. She also raised her granddaughter, Jackie Smith.
Corinne took great pleasure in raising her children. She loved her flowers, mowing her lawn and fishing “out home.” She enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching traffic and visits from her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years; son, Rick Smith and wife, Karen, of Oxford, Rhonda Desrochers and husband, Norman, of Oxford and Kathy Kimball and husband, Kevin, of Sumner; special grandchildren, Amy Desrochers, Amanda Smith, Jackie Smith, Travis Smith and Kassi Harney; great-grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Hailey Parsons, Jacoby Wright and Ava Hebert; brothers, Jack Smith and companion, Laura Weeks, of Chelsea, Robert Smith and wife, Pauline, of West Gardiner and Dickie Smith and wife, Barb, of South Gardiner; and sisters, Janet Shaw and husband, Richard, of Hallowell and Dale McKay of Florida.
She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Smith; and her parents, Roscoe and Alice Smith.
