FARMINGTON — A Franklin County grand jury re-indicted a former Rangeley man Tuesday on sex charges involving a child under 12.

David Paquette, 35, who now lives in Rumford, was indicted on felony charges of gross sexual assault and sexual misconduct with a child under 12.

A conviction for gross sexual assault carries a penalty of up to 30 years in jail and a $50,000 fine.

Paquette was arrested in December 2012 on felony charges of unlawful sexual contact and sexual misconduct against a child under 12. He was indicted by a grand jury in January and pleaded not guilty in February.

In June, the District Attorney’s Office dismissed the charges, pending further investigation.
