INDUSTRY — Industry Fire and Rescue has canceled the fireworks planned for Saturday, due to the wet conditions of the field where the event was to be held.

They do plan to hold the fireworks show on Labor Day weekend. More details will be available closer to that time.

The July 4 annual fundraiser for the department is traditionally held in Wing’s Field on Route 148 near the fire station. Organizers were concerned that the field might not have time to dry out before Saturday’s show due to recent heavy rainfall.
