MADRID – Author and Maine State Warden Service chaplain, the Rev. Kate Braestrup, will the lead the worship service at Reeds Mill Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21.

In her role as chaplain, Braestrup, who was ordained in 2004, assists wardens as they search for those who have lost their way in the wild lands and fresh waters of Maine. She also offers comfort to those who wait for lost ones to be found.

“Kate led a service in 2010. She was wonderful! She made us laugh, but she also made us think,” said Ginni Robie, church member. “We are blessed to have her return this year.”

Kate’s humility, sense of humor and compassion are what make her a gifted chaplain, and her experiences with the Warden’s Service give her unique insight into the law enforcement community here in Maine.

Rev. Braestrup is also known for her books “Here If You Need Me,” “Marriage and Other Acts of Charity” (both on the New York Times Best Seller List) and, most recently, “Beginners Grace: Bringing Prayer to Life.” For more information visit www.katebraestrup.com.
