AUGUSTA (AP) — The cost of a gallon of gas in Maine has dropped nearly 4 cents in the past week to average of $3.52.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reported Monday that the average retail price of gasoline in Maine is now 2 cents more than the national average, which has dropped nearly 6 cents in the past week.
Maine prices are now more than 13 cents higher than at the same time last year and more than 4 cents higher than a month ago.
A company analyst said prices are likely to keep falling this week.
The Maine averages are based on a survey of more than 1.200 gas stations statewide.
