MEXICO – The Police Department responded to 56 incidents over the last week. Among the incidents were the following:

Theft

* A Wal-Mart employee reported at 7:11 p.m. June 12 that an unknown male was in the store, stealing cans of air off the shelves and huffing them. The employee said that the male would huff the air for a while, pass out on the ground and wake up shortly after. Lt. Roy Hodsdon said police responded shortly after and learned the male had fled on a bicycle.

* The owner of Dupuis Auto Garage reported at 8:05 a.m. June 8 that someone had broken into his shop and stolen an undisclosed amount of cash. The owner also reported damage to his door from the break-in.

The June 8 theft was the second time in two weeks that Dupuis Auto Garage had been broken into. On May 24, someone broke in and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and tools valued at $4,000

Hodsdon asked that anyone who sees anything suspicious in the area to report it to police.

* A Summit Street resident reported at 11:09 a.m. June 5 that somebody had broken into his car and gone through his belongings. The resident said that nothing had been stolen.

Vandalism

* A Swain Road resident reported at 11 a.m. June 12 that someone vandalized his car while parked at Wal-Mart. Police estimated it had $1,000 damage to the paint, as well as damage to the underside of the car. Police have a suspect.

Trespassing

*A River Road resident reported at 3:19 a.m. June 9 that an unknown number of males were loitering near the Naples storage units. By the time police responded, the males had fled the scene.
