Norway-Paris Kiwanis Bookmark Contest winner Emmett Thompson, West Paris, grade two, is shown holding his winning entry with animated animals Sky Amaral (cat) and Sara Mitchell (duck) from the Oxford Hills Middle School Builders Club, and Oxford Hills High School Key Club member Jeff Sirois (Tigger). Emmett’s inspiration came from the Dr. Seuss book, “I Can Read With My Eyes Shut.” All 66 children who attended the recent Norway-Paris Kiwanis Reading Across America breakfast received a copy of his bookmark along with a free breakfast and a new book provided by Kiwanis and Rightstart, a volunteer group serving young children in the Oxford Hills.
