Craft supply fair is April 6
AUBURN — A fabric and craft supply fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at High Street Congregational Church, 106 Pleasant St.
Crafters gather up fabric and supplies they bought but never used and sell them to other crafters. More than 20 tables have been rented and there is room for a few more renters.

La Leche League meeting April 10
AUBURN — The La Leche League offers breastfeeding information and encouragement to pregnant women, new mothers and growing families. Services offered include monthly meetings and 24-hour telephone help. All interested women are invited to attend the next meeting to be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are always welcome.
Pregnancy is an ideal time to begin attending meetings in preparation for baby’s arrival and mothers find continued support throughout their breastfeeding experience.
All concerns about breastfeeding are welcome for discussion in addition to the scheduled topic, “Breastfeeding, the Mother-Baby Relationship, and the Weaning Process.” The discussion will include nutrition for nursing mothers, introducing solids to baby and the weaning breastfed baby.

Burnt Meadow good citizens
BOWDOIN — Burnt Meadow Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Saturday, April 13, at the home of Mrs. C. Byras for a luncheon to honor the student recipients of the Good Citizen and Good Citizenship Awards. The guest speaker will be Carolyn Kelley, Maine State Veterans Affairs chairman, MSODAR.
In March members brought items for the Comfort Closet at Togus and books for veterans. They were taken to the state convention at the Hilton on March 16. After the March meeting, the regent had the honor of presenting Marion Spear with a certificate for her 30 years in the DAR.
Members are reminded to bring potluck items for the luncheon.
Swingin’ Bears dance April 13
PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club announces that on Saturday, April 13, from 7 to 10 p.m., Kip and Linda Moulton of Scarborough will team up as caller and cuer for the square dancing and round dancing. The dance will be held as usual in the cafeteria at the Oxford Hills Middle School, 100 Pine St.
Refreshments are always served at intermission with door prizes and a Pot O’ Gold drawing. Admission $6 per person. Non-dancers are welcome at no charge.

Auburn Kindergarten registration
AUBURN — Auburn School Department has announced the kindergarten registration schedule for 2013.
To register your child for kindergarten, call your neighborhood school for an appointment. If you are not sure which school your child will be attending, call the Transportation Department at 333-6658.
Parents will be required to bring their child’s legal birth certificate, social security card and all records of immunizations to registration.
The Auburn School Department offers full day kindergarten. Talk with the principal of your school if you have concerns about this option for your child.
