Auburn Art Club meets Oct. 15
AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will meet on Monday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church on Park Avenue.
The speaker will be Chris Bilodeau. He will be discussing his journey in photography beginning when he was in high school. He will bring some of his award-winning art work as well as some of his equipment that he finds to be particularly useful. He will willing to answer any questions.
The committee for this meeting will be Evelyn Larrabee, chairwoman, assisted by Debbie Dwyer, Cathy Cutter and Maureen Tibbetts. All members are encouraged to attend.
No political signs at Veterans Park
LEWISTON — Bert Dutil, adviser to the L & A Veterans Council, has requested that no political or other signs be placed in or in front of Veterans Memorial Park. The park, on the corner of Main and Lincoln streets, is an area to honor all veterans.
Adult Ed plans Super Saturday
LEWISTON — Lewiston Adult Education will hold their semi-annual Super Saturday on Oct. 20. Several hands-on, single-session workshops will be offered, including: “Enchanted Paper Crafts,” “Getting the Most Out of Your iPad,” “Heartsaver CPR, First Aid & AED Training,” “Intro to Reiki,” “Keep House Like a Pro,” “Square to Round Basket” and “Super Saturday Chocolates for Families.”

‘Noel Gala’ vendor fair
LEWISTON — A vendor fair “Noel Gala” will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Holy Family Church basement, 607 Sabattus St.
Coffee and doughnuts will be available in the morning; sandwiches, chips and beverages for lunch.
Parking and entrance is at the rear of the church.
Proceeds will benefit St. Anne Sodality of Prince of Peace Parish/Holy Family Church. St. Anne Sodality helps families in need, buys supplies for students in religious education programs and helps heat the churches.
Halloween tour of cemetery Oct. 27
LEWISTON — John Henderson will lead a Halloween tour of Mount Hope Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at 81 Mount Hope Ave. The tour is a program of the Androscoggin Historical Society.
