RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1950 is invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, at the River Valley Grill.

Red Hatters’ Freeport trip

FREEPORT — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine met at Jolly Drayman’s English Pub at the Briar Lee Inn at Bethel with 24 members attending. One birthday this month was celebrated.

A tour of Wilbur’s Chocolates and tea at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport is scheduled for Tuesday, June 19. The cost of the tour and tea is $14. The deadline for confirmation is Thursday, June 14.

The group will leave at 12:15 p.m. from the old Peru school. Contact Isabel for a reservation at 562-4241.

Dempsey jewelry workshop

RUMFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing will offer a free jewelry making workshop for cancer caregivers. “Jewelry Making with Hemp and Beads” will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Rumford Hospital, Conference Room C.

Presenter Sue Beaudoin will help participants to custom design a necklace and bracelet. No prior art or jewelry making experience necessary and all materials are provided. Feel free to bring favorite beads.
