For decades, Rick Bennett has been a steady statesman and a successful, trusted businessman, anchored by his word and handshake. He does not have to redefine what he says, as his message is always clear, grounded by the fiber of his being.
Several years ago, he wrote a passionate column, “A credit card with no limit.” That day has come here in America.
Then-state Sen. Bennett also made clear to the Democratic Legislature and then-Gov. Angus King that their spending schemes were not only unconstitutional, but unsustainable.
The U.S. Senate’s failure to pass a budget for the past three years, a specific constitutional obligation, is treasonous.
As an NRA-certified instructor, recruiter and range safety officer, I have come to enjoy Bennett’s steadfast support of 2nd Amendment rights, consistently earning him an A+ NRA rating as a Maine legislator.
Now, more than ever, we need Rick Bennett to be our next U.S. senator.
