I attended the Maine Democratic Convention last weekend. I came away feeling that Matt Dunlap is definitely the best choice for the U.S. Senate.

Dunlap has lived and worked in Maine for all of his life. From his experiences in the work force and as a public servant, he definitely understands the needs of Maine’s hardworking citizens. From actions he took as a legislator and as secretary of state, it is clear that he will address these needs.

His warm personality, quiet sense of humor and affable manner make him an effective communicator and leader — the kind of leader Maine needs to send to the U.S. Senate to help get this country back on the right course.

I will be voting for Matt Dunlap on June 12.
