HARRISON — The United Parish – Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton will celebrate Homecoming Sunday June 3 with worship at 9:30 a.m., and a picnic afterwards at Crystal Lake Park.

Homecoming welcomes those who have been away for the winter, and gives an opportunity for anyone who has ever been a part of the church to visit.

Membership in the church will be recognized with certificates for those who are five year, 10 year and much longer members. The records have been checked and there is one person who has been a member for 60-plus years.

A group photo of everyone present will be taken after the service.

The United Parish was formed when the Calvary Community Church of Harrison and the North Bridgton Congregational Church joined as one congregation. In 2006 the North Bridgton church building was sold to Bridgton Academy. The United Parish is at 77 Main St., across from Crystal Lake. Rev. Franklin Anderson was installed as pastor and teacher last October. He had served as the transitional minister starting in January 2010.
