Shriners golf tournament

TURNER — Kora Shriners will host their seventh annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic Golf Tournament on July 14. Proceeds will benefit Shriners Hospital for Children.

The scramble format golf event will take place at Turner Highlands Country Club and is open to the first 36 teams registered. The cost is $100 a golfer and there are many sponsorship opportunities available. The entry fee will include a barbecue and pretournament gifts. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes as well as a hole-in-one opportunity to win $10,000.

USS Mount McKinley group to meet

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The USS Mount McKinley Association will hold its 24th annual reunion from Sept. 12-16 in Annapolis. The reunion is for veterans of all branches of the military and associate members that served on the Amphibious Force Flagship, USS Mount McKinley AGC/LCC-7 and associate members from the Flagship Alliance group that served on one of the other AGC’s during their years of commissioned service.
