Anita White guest speaker
PARIS — The First Universalist Church on Pine Street will feature Anita White as the guest speaker on Sunday, May 27. The title of the 10 a.m. service is “Happy Birthday Church.” The guest organist is Donna Hurd. Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service and all are welcome. Childcare is available.
Memorial Day parade, service
HARRISON — Memorial Day parade and church service will begin with the parade at 9a.m. Monday, May 28. The parade will form at the United Parish, with participants asked to line up by 8:30 a.m. All servicemen and women, fire department, Scouts and children are urged to participate.
A prayer and gun salute will be given at the Village Cemetery, beside Long Lake, and at the monuments in town, with music provided by the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Band. Ice cream will be served after the parade to children who march.
A church service will follow at 10 a.m. at the United Parish Congregational Church. Guest speaker is Debra Moulton, Maine Veteran’s Women’s Commissioner. Women veterans will be honored during the service. To add someone to the list, call 583-2232.
Rec. heading to Hadlock
BRIDGTON — Bridgton and Sebago Recreation are offering a trip to see the Portland Sea Dogs take on the Harrisburg Senators at Hadlock Field in Portland on Thursday, June 21.
The bus will depart Bridgton Old Town Hall at 4 p.m. and will return at approx 9 p.m., with a stop at Sebago Elementary School at 4:30 p.m., returning at approx 8:30. The game starts at 6.
