AUBURN — The Chickenman BBQ public supper will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave. Adults, $7; 12 and under, $4.

Congregational Church sale

AUBURN — The Sixth Street Congregational Church will hold a yard and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the vestry, 109 Sixth St.

Greyhound open house

AUGUSTA — Maine Greyhound Placement Service will hold its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17, at 231 Old Belgrade Road.

Vendors include Truman Collars, Deb Bell Photography, artist Linda Evans and the Tally Ho Shop. There will be food, a Doggy Spa and a tour of the new facility. All well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. No retractable leashes. The event will be held rain or shine. Admission is $5 and all proceeds benefit the shelter.
